Speaker Bios:
Helena Oroz has spent more than two decades counseling and defending employers in nearly every corner of workplace law. From day-to-day questions on employee leave and disability accommodation to high-stakes litigation involving discrimination, wrongful termination, or contract disputes, she provides employers with steady guidance and practical solutions.
Her career has included advising a Fortune 500 company as in-house employment counsel and representing management at both a large international law firm and a boutique employment law firm. That combination of in-house and outside counsel experience gives Helena a well-rounded perspective on how legal decisions play out in real-world workplaces. Employers value her ability to not only understand the law, but also anticipate how it intersects with business goals and workplace culture.
Helena’s practice covers the gamut of state and federal employment laws and issues, from ADA and FMLA to the PWFA and Title VII. She frequently advises employers on leave and disability issues, helping them navigate one of the most complex and sensitive areas of employment law. When disputes arise, Helena is a strong advocate in court and before administrative agencies.
After graduating from college,
Zach Leciejewski worked as a paralegal at an intellectual property law firm in Washington, D.C., where he saw how attorneys could deliver valuable services to their clients by anticipating issues and making strategic decisions before setting foot in a courtroom. This experience set him on the path to law school and continues to guide his approach to practicing law.
Zach grew up in Hudson, Ohio. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from American University in Washington, D.C., he attended The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where he graduated cum laude and served as an Articles Editor on the Ohio State Law Journal.
Prior to working at K|W|W, Zach served as a staff attorney and clerked for the Honorable Frank M. Hull on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta, Georgia. He then worked as an Attorney Advisor in the Office of the General Counsel at the Executive Office for Immigration Review in Falls Church, Virginia.
At K|W|W, Zach focuses on a broad range of labor and employment matters, working with employers to ensure wage and hour compliance, resolve workplace disputes, and provide clear, practical advice.
