Speaker Bio: Courtney Borruso, DO, MSMEd, MSM, is a Principal Lecturer at Youngstown State University, where she teaches business analytics and data visualization. Trained as an osteopathic physician, Dr. Borruso taught in graduate medical education using a problem-based learning approach and brings that case-driven approach to the business classroom. Dr. Borruso holds a master's in medical education, a master's in management with a focus on business analytics, and the Google AI Professional Certificate. Her special interests include algorithmic bias and the ethics of AI, particularly how algorithms shape human decision-making. At YSU, Dr. Borruso serves on the Academic Senate and the Student Conduct Board and connects students with regional employers through company projects and guest speakers.
